Today’s modern dental veneers are more advanced and less invasive than those used in the past. Your smile transformation will usually require 2-3 visits, from planning your smile’s design to prepping and placing the final veneers. You play a direct role in how you want your new smile to look.
Depending on your characteristics, most people need anywhere from 6-10 veneers across their upper front teeth. It’s less common to place veneers on the lower teeth, because of the way your teeth touch together.
During your prep visit, we’ll gently numb your teeth and slightly trim a small amount of the enamel to make room for your new veneers. Then we’ll take a mould and send it to our lab. Your permanent veneers will be ready to bond in place about two weeks later.
Although dental veneers are not real teeth, they are still bonded to your natural smile. Daily brushing and flossing are essential to keep them clean and the supporting teeth healthy. Keep your six-monthly checkups as normal. Additionally, we recommend wearing a nightguard if you’re prone to teeth clenching.
